 Probably a more common species than the records suggest, due to under recording. Found mainly on moorland in the south-west of the county.

 Lifestage data
 
 Overwinters as a cocooned fully grown larva where it remains
dormant until April or May. Larva June-early August, sometimes a second
brood in the autumn.
